Let’s face it, shopping is not always the relaxing pastime that people make it out to be, especially when pregnant. Your body is changing and it is difficult to find exactly what you’re looking for.

I don’t have to ability to shop for you but I can point you in the right direction.

When I was pregnant, my largest clothing hurdle was finding comfortable activewear. I love to workout and wanted to focus on certain workouts while I was pregnant but finding simple, comfortable activewear was difficult, which is why I have put together this list of the best, and most affordable places to purchase maternity activewear:

1. Old Navy: Old Navy does not have a massive collection of workout clothes but they do have a decent amount with more than affordable prices. Their colors aren’t very vibrant or festive but their tanks and shorts start around $15. My favorite maternity activewear items from Old Navy are their low-rise leggings. Their prices are unbeatable and you can find an Old Navy almost anywhere.
2. Gap: I am a big fan of Gap for regular maternity clothing as well as activewear. They are constantly running clearance sales, which makes the clothing really inexpensive and they have quiet a few options for active mothers. They have stylish tanks that come in an assortment of colors and are really popular but my favorite items are their capris and leggings. Finding comfortable workout pants is a difficult task, so I fell in love when I came across these.
3. Macy’s: Macy’s has a lot to offer. They are not as inexpensively priced as Old Navy or Gap but they are not crazy expensive either. One reason why I like Macy’s for their activewear is because they have a large selection of maternity sports bras, which are hard to come by. The only thing that I do not like about Macy’s maternity activewear section (on their website) is that they do not have a category specifically for activewear; activewear is mixed in with the maternity clothing, which makes it a little difficult to find.
4. Activewear USA: Activewear USA is the perfect place if you are looking for a wider variety. They don’t necessarily have a huge selection but they do offer certain pieces that can’t be found elsewhere. For example, they have tennis skirts and skorts that I haven’t seen in many other stores. Their prices do run a little higher than average but they often have promotions such as free shipping (when ordering from the website) and a 10% coupon if you are a first time customer.
5. Motherhood: Motherhood is one of my favorites because they offer more than just workout pants, shirts, and jackets. They have really cute maternity tees that have phrases like “A bump is the prettiest thing to wear” written on them. Motherhood’s maternity activewear is also really affordable, especially when you can snag some of their “redline” products.Staying active during pregnancy is not an easy task, especially when all of your workout clothes seem to no-longer fit you. The best way to avoid slacking on your workouts is to find really comfortable clothes that will push you to get out there. Remember to consult your doctor before working out while pregnant.
