The Perks of Being Pregnant During Autumn

27th Aug 2014

Have you ever been pregnant during fall? This season brings a number of amazing opportunities for pregnant women; it’s the prefect season to have a bun in the oven!

Throughout life, it’s extremely important to get the recommended amount of fruits and veggies. However, during pregnancy, it is even more important. You’re now eating for two, which means your eating habits are affecting both of you. Being pregnant during autumn is perfect when it comes to getting the recommended amount of nutrients because there are a ton of healthy fruits and vegetables in season. For example, in many parts of the United States, apples, broccoli, cranberries, eggplant, green beans, mushrooms, and an assortment of other fruits and veggies are in season. This variety will provide you and your baby with amazing nutrients and vitamins that are vital for a healthy pregnancy.baby3

Not only is autumn the perfect season for finding inexpensive and in season fruits and vegetables, but italso brings perfect weather. Summer is way too hot for the middle of your pregnancy. Have you ever experienced your third trimester during the summer? It’s definitely a challenge. Being pregnant in autumn is much easier when it comes to the weather. During this season, you can actually leave the house without having a heatstroke. This means you can take a nice, refreshing walk outside and enjoy the beautiful scenery.

Although not a huge perk, autumn is also an incredible season for taking pictures. Imagine yourself with an adorably cute pregnant belly, in front of trees with all different colored leaves. Next, picture all of this at the cider mill. I love the look of pregnancy pictures in general, but my favorite ones happen to take place during the fall. No other season can create the amazing scenery that autumn does.

Autumn offers many perks, from all of the in season fruits and veggies, to the perfect weather and scenery.  Pregnant or not, autumn is the perfect season; everyone constantly complains about the heat in the summer and the frigid temperatures in the winter, all of which can be avoided in the fall!
